Narrative Description and status of Project:

Mahalapye mixed use can be considered as an expansion of central; business district (CBD). The site is mostly nestled between the railway and A1 road and is adjacent to the existing CBD, Part of it stretches to the eastern side of the railway line near the train station, and it measures just over 11 hectares.  It is visible and easily accessible from the A1 by foot and vehicles. Some of the notable landmarks adjacent to it include shell ultra-city filling station, Broadway Toyota motors and the Police station.

As an extension of theCBD, the siteneeds to be accessible from multiple directions. Following the boundaries of site, buildings are originally facing the A1 which opens up to three different directions as entrances. The design proposal promotes live, work, play lifestyle; As it compromises of two Residential apartments, hospital, hotel & a conference facility, retail center, 3 office blocks and two level parkade.
